anatomy can be a real pain sometimes yes XD but i still like this one alot because of the original expression on his face.
say, do you draw a base if you make a digital drawing? those help alot to solve trouble like the arm here. and you can always look up a reference of a human arm if you can't figure out how it has to look.
though, i really have to practice to get myself something like this XD i love it!

When you say draw a base, do you mean like a pencil drawing underneath the digital one, or what? I'm not sure what you mean.
But yeah. I really should've used a reference with the arm, but I just decided to roll with it. It's actually fixed up a bit from the original version, which looked way worse.
Glad you enjoyed it though. :)

if i draw digital i always use a layer to draw a base in red (if you make a base with black you could get confused with the outlines), then turn down the oppacity (for better vieuw of dark lines) and make new layers to build the drawing on like you do without a base (i bet it's outline, colour, background, effects. all on different layers.). i delete it the sketch i don't need it, that's usually when the lineart is finnished. you should try it it helps to overcome some real anatomic problems. you could try scanning in a pencil drawing and make a digital drawing of it by using it as a sketch. just turn down the oppacity so you can see the differences between outline and pencil line. for way better explanation you could check out some tutorials on DeviantArt, they usually have good ones.
hope it helps, i kinda fail at explaining things, but that's me XD

That's actually pretty much exactly what I do, heh. I usually do a pencil (sometimes it's in pen) drawing, scan it, and use it as a skeleton for the rest of my work, which I do digitally. Any anatomic errors are just of pure human error and I missed them when I did the original sketch. Eventually I'll get good enough that issues like the arm here won't be an issue anymore, but as the say, practice makes perfect. >_>
