When I got an unsigned E-mail from someone I’d never met before, telling me to go to a local baby shower for a special surprise, I almost just ignored it. But it seemed so oddly specific, it caught my curiosity. So, I headed down there, only to find the place empty. I waited for nearly 30 minutes before getting bored enough to think that someone was clearly pulling my leg. Checking my watch, and deciding to give it another 5 minutes before leaving, I don’t notice the balloon hovering in my direction until it bumps gently into the back of my head. Before I can even turn around to see what it was, it pops loudly, making my ears ring, as well as dropping some strange tingly liquid down over my head and back. In a matter of moments, I feel my body stretching and swelling, squeaking as it morphs around me, happening so fast I barely realise what’s going on before it’s done. I look down at myself, shocked (although not unpleasantly) but this sudden squeakiness. I look up as around the corner several familiar looking people appear, including a certain big-bellied Lemur who throws some confetti into the air and shouts ‘SURPRISE!’
