Artist Statement
The theme for this image is 'Hollow'. What this word brings to mind for me is depression, in particular the feeling of emptiness that often comes at some of the darker times. For me that feeling is like having my insides ripped out, leaving nothing but a hollow shell behind. So I drew this happening to a stuffed animal...thing. Perhaps he was loved once, but time (or perhaps cruelty) have left him torn, his very insides popping out of his broken seams. Poor little guy, I'll fix him up and love him <3
