Neat! I have several of these uniforms pictured myself. Used to import quite a bit of surplus and ended up saving whatever caught my eye.
Id really like to see a cleaner version of these photo's
Not proper by any means, thrown together rather on a very bored night without any of the flashy ribbons, medals or arm bands on.

I collected as much as could be afforded and stored. Joined a collector's group and learned more about the uniforms and awards. Some of the items thought to be vinyl or rubber-coated are actually oil cloth and now deteriorating. Had to recently throw out a traffic police white raincoat as the coating was crumbing off. Wore out 1 or 2 pair of jackboots so far, but sold them on eBay and recouped the investment.
Some of these uniforms are still available, but the vendors tend to remove the insignia to sell separately.
May try to scan and post other art/diagrams on DDR uniforms as time permits.
