I ordered a resin blank from
Beetlecat a while back and decided to take and post pictures of the suit while I was working on it.
Please note; at this point all the work aside from the original cast was done by me.
The character being made, Uru, belongs and is © to me. DO NOT DUPLICATE HER.
1) a picture i took of the uncut, fresh out of the box cast i received from Beetlecat. This came with hinges that i could attach myself.
2) Here's the cast after i cut it and sanded it.
3) I then painted the nose and eye areas....as you can see, i got a little carried away with the painting.... but it gave me a general idea of where the markings would go.
4) A picture i took right after i installed the eyes i made and added the mesh to the tearducts. (there are tutorials on how to paint fursuit eyes, so i didn't feel that I needed to include that part.)
5) Another shot of her eyes installed, from a different angle.
6) A quick picture of the foam i added to make a general head shape. The cast would fit a head MUCH larger than mine, so I had to add foam in. the picture also shows how i fleshed out the hinge area.
7) This picture was taken right after i added the ears.
8) I then added fleece to the inside of the ears to make them a little thicker and a little more sturdy.
9, 10, 11) various angles of the head after being duct taped.
12) redlines for Uru's markings were generously provided by
Lyulf because i was unsure what would look good on the head shape. Thanks girl~!
13) A closer picture of the eyes. (definitely my favorite eyes to date)
14) Just an overview picture of the head that i took before i drew the markings on and proceeded with the rest of the process.
PART 2: coming soon!
it took me about 3 1/2 hours to put this set of pictures together.
Please, only CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and tips. I have put a LOT of time and effort into building this head.

For the teeth in this suit- I love how they look in later pictures- what did you sue? Did you purchase a readily available jawset or did you make your own? I have one of these resin heads by Beetlecat and I can't figure out what dimensions the jawsets need to be. I appreciate your assistance!
