Siikendo - Disidi
About the siiKendo:
siiKendos (meaning "imp deer") are a personal species of mine,
which I enjoy drawing and gifting out to you guys!
Basically the equivalent of the Unicorn in my fantasy setting,
the siiKendo is a technically a type of deer, but on average it
is only the size of a housecat.
Each batch of siiKendo come from a plant-like egg pod, which is
heavily infused with the primal magics of its surroundings. This can
reveal itself in endless ways- markings, differing anatomy, or even
magical powers of their influence. Because each egg filters magic
differently, siiKendos can look completely unrelated despite being
from the same clutch. They are asexual when they hatch, but can
develop a sex/gender if you choose.
Additionally, these magical creatures can shapeshift, but retain the
markings from their original, quadrapedal form. They like to infiltrate
humanoid settlements this way, though they can usually be told
apart due to their strange, animalistic movements and mischievious
natures. Many siiKendo who choose to leave their homes use their
innate magic power to manipulate the mundane world around them.
Many legends surround the siiKendo, from creation mythos to dark
curses and ill omens. It's so rare that sightings are mostly fabricated
nowadays, and those who actually see a siiKendo are not often
believed by their peers.
