It's early evening and two people are walking along the edge of a forest, laughing quietly. They can hear someone calling them back, possibly for dinner? But they are trying to ignore them, because the forest is so nice. The moist ground and foliage and the moisture in the air dampens the sounds of their footsteps as they keep walking, still ignoring the voice calling them back as it grows ever louder. Soon enough, they can't say, "I didn't hear you!" anymore and have to turn back.
