While for lots of reasons academia isn't for everyone, being in school really helped give me the impetus to challenge myself and try out serious challenges of perspective, composition, tone &c. This was one of my very first big illustrations in class. I think this is the closest I've come to doing fully committed painting, I had a lot of fun!
