Humphrey Beauregard is, well, yes, an unsubtle pun, but I wanted an old-schooly sort of name that just isn't used anymore. I can't think of a single person named Humphrey. He's the writer for the Film Club. He goes by the old school 40's-50's school of script writing and watches nothing but pretentious black and while movies. He smokes like a chimney, talks fast and uses old terms like 'doll' and 'wiseguy', and only writes with a typewriter. He even only ever wears shades of grey, which with his pale skin makes him look a bit like a noir character.
