Hello again! This new little story follows Theo the otter, a stand-up bass player in one of the many jazz bands that entertain at the nightclubs as he comes to grips with his identity as a proud, independent black woman. No wait -- as a homosexual. I am still debating on whether or not to make this an explicit story. Guess we'll see where it goes...
An excerpt from the short story:
Freddy handed Theo a glass, who eyed it suspiciously. Freddy gave a raucous laugh.
"You are thirsty, right? Consider it a token of my reverence for your profoundly inspirational musical ability! Don't be shy - down the hatch!"
He clinked his glass against the otter's and gulped it down. After a few moments of weighing his options, Theo decided not to reject his gift. He poured it in his mouth, nearly spitting the fiery liquid back out again twice before finally choking it down. He felt ill. Freddy relieved him of his glass, setting both back on the counter.
"That's the way, mate. Now let's see if we can't catch ourselves some decent-lookin' dames in this establishment."
