This is the first portrait/character design of Dusty. Linework by Inoxia (currently inactive), colours by Digan.
I roleplayed on Furcadia for several years. At first I played a male anthro cat, Digan, who was basically me in terms of personality. Of course, being who I am, most of the roleplaying involved kinky heterosexual scenes.
For many years, one of my favourite sexual fantasies was to be a hot young woman who enjoyed a lot of bondage sex. So I decided to make a female fursona. I knew what age and body type I wanted, so the choice came down to species and colouration.
Some of my favourite roleplay partners had appeared as squirrels or rabbits. Inoxia, who drew this sketch, was a black squirrel with red hair and green eyes - a hot combination!
Eventually I decided to go for a bunny, and asked Inoxia to create a hot blonde lop-eared one. This was the result, originally just lines. I coloured it, choosing a naturalistic palette. Blonde, of course, which went well with a light tan body. I thought about blue eyes, but decided to break from tradition and make them a bright green that probably doesn't occur in human eyes.
And so Dusty was born - at first, just as an avatar for a Furcadia character.
