Depends on what side you're standing I guess. Seen from the left, you'll have the tail as the Italian flag and the mane as the Hungarian flag; you'll get the opposite looking at the right side of this pony. All that was important here was the colours. And yes, I chose to have the red on "top" because I wanted the green against the body, so there would be less of a clash between the primary colours.
I understand what you're saying, and I'm not discounting it. Just explaining my colour placement choices.
