Custom for  northwestspiritwolf! I tried to keep the colors as close to the Quetzal's as possible without using Gradients or anything... The red/white on the underbelly did end up being a gradient though. :/ Otherwise I really am proud of this one, it was a blast to work on even with the challenging color combinations! The small feathers on the front leg there are the same as the ones on the back, black outside, white tipped with red inside.

Kibatsu's are a form of dragon, in it's other forms you'll see the other inspiration come into play more... The Foo Dog. This custom is a variation of a Flying Kibatsu, the long feathers that come off of the back can turn into full blown wings but tend to take on this lighter form when not in use.
