Alan-a-Dale - A Lasting Impression
Dated 31/05/2012
That's the funny thing about meeting your favourite movie stars. They can leave a lasting impression on you, even if they might not realise it.
Nope. Haven't gotten over Alan-a-Dale yet, folks.
This is picture one of my 'June 2012' batch, and the third time I've drawn Alan - AKA The Rooster from Disney's Robin Hood - but it's the first time I've ever tried drawing him doing anything stompy. (After all, sadly it seems nobody has!)
People who follow my work will surely know that I don't generally bother with 'accidental' stomps, largely because I much prefer malicious, carefully-aimed deliberate stompage! But somehow I just felt it didn't suit Alan. For whatever reason, he just strikes me as too nice a guy to go around squashing people deliberately. Hence, I decided to try out an 'unaware' scenario.
I thought the little bug characters I used in last year's Timon crush/vore comic were rather cute and fun to draw, and they do seem to fit the Disney style rather well. As such, I decided to revive the character design for this piece. In keeping with the friendly nature of the picture though, I thought I would make them a willing victim to a figure they admire, enjoying the happy accident that has befallen them - and without all the squirtings of bright green bug juice that littered their last appearance!
I didn't want to stray too far from the Disney styling but nor did I want to go overboard with detail/anatomy on this one, so hopefully I've found a happy medium, though there are a few errors here and there. But even so, I'm pretty pleased with the way it has come out.
As for the background, I had already decided that I wanted to keep it simple, so I went with 'islands' of setting on a plain white backing. It wasn't just laziness, I assure you!
Anyway, enjoy the birdy talons - and the rest of the batch!

I must admit these are my personal favorites to see from you.
Goreless, but none the less heavy looking stompage.
The motion lines, shallow footprint and dimpling of the stompee show it's not exactly a gentle stomping, but at the same time we get to see the victim's resting place without a messy splatter.
Nothing wrong with the more messy stompings, just my own opinion. :>
Also bird feet. <3

Lol! Never got into Maid Marian myself, but I won't deny my brain has been there with Robin... as this picture has previously alluded to...
True... then there were a lot of risque stuff in that movie... and half the guys running around with no pants.
Okay.. granted they were animals telling the "real" story of the Human characters, but still.
Which also makes one think, about the Marion/Lady Cluck and Skippy bunny bit: Foxes EAT both... well.. it was a family film.

I have to say, I do quite enjoy going down the traditional route of normal-sized characters stepping on bugs. Of course it's very common in the furry fantasy world to find micros who can fulfil that role, but sometimes it's fun to relate things a little more to the real world.
Yes! Such a huge super sexy cock! Um, that is.... rooster.
After accidently squashing the foot worshipping bug under his super sexy sole...
Alan-a-Dale delights as the puny bug humps and licks at the soft sole of his irresistly sexy foot! And begins crowing with delight as he repeatedly stomps and squashes the foot licking bug beneath his foot! What's this? There's an entire colony of puny bugs scurrying at his sweet feet?
You did it again! Super sexy foot related artwwork done to purrfection. So, I am not responsible for my actions here...^^
