First attempt at Meta Knight = success!
(Then again, his design is actually very simple compared to the stuff I usually draw... I mean, I can draw a decent Sableye at will, and that alone is beyond the artistic skills of anyone I know personally.)
I would actually support these two as a yaoi pairing if Kirby wasn't so young. But then, he wouldn't really be Kirby without that youthful innocence and obliviousness, would he?
Forgive me for giving Meta Knight unecessarily huge wings in the bottom doodle; I know his wings are nowhere near that big. I just like to draw giant wings.

Well, that really might just be an unintended impression left because they didn't have much to work with in other games. I've seen 'em all, and his wings might have been intended to be larger than originally shown in early games because they had to just recolor bird kirby's wings. A cape probably would have just been bloody murder to animate, but he may have actually removed it entirely back then. Hard to say, although that wouldn't explain why his wings are only visible mid flight.
Either way, it's a magic cape by today's canon. I still prefer your version, though.
