: WolfyLuna: wanted fresh artwork this year, he commissioned me for two portraits, and this is the second one. He's a fan of realisim, so I used a lot of photographs for reference- If I listed them all off for you, you'd probably laugh. ;)

He's been doing an anthro character in a D&D style RP with friends, where his character is the starship's main engineer with a bit of medical training in the background. He ended up with glowing eyes due to being around the reactor core a little too often-- and yes, we do need to suspend our nuclear logic a bit for understanding that. ;)

I usually start with the face/eyes. I was prodded by Wolfy about eight hours into the painting, 'Uh.. Oops, I just realized that.. the colors are the other way around'.. Damn you, heterochromia!
