Shot with camera and the color and detail are wonkie. will get a good scan soon.
Wing is going fast and should have her done tomorrow. Still need to finish tail of corse and put on the rest of her stripes. ( I Love doing Stripes).
The scary part is the BG, I have some idea what I want to do. Hope I don't kill it. BG will be limited to the circle depicted in the line drawing in scraps.
This should be in the AC art show.
I will write the story that goes with her after AC.

98% of the time the answer to your question is no. I just kind of see something in my head and go for it and don't know fully what I'm going to come up with till it's done. The line drawing for this is the most extensive I've done for any piece and It did help to have done so. I am going to attempt to go into more detail in the sketch work of the BG as well but no color study. I have never done that before. Haven't ever even really thought about it either, I'm still basically an illiterate noob when it comes to art.

I see. Well, it's up to you how to work. Do whatever you're comfortable with and whatever works best for you. I'm more like others in that I work out my images first with thumbnails, sketches, and at least one color study. But that's just me.
