[Character Resurrection]
So I found this in one of my 8 sketchbooks and thought it's be perfect to mention this long dead character of mine.
So This is the 6th character I ever made, however her story was very very short. Her whole purpose was to be the plot driving fuel for another character, who will be mentioned later.
Missy P. Fox was a demon hunter from days of old, when there were no such things as guns yet, when everyone still believed in demons, thus they could walk among mortals. Her craft involved crude talismans, easy incantations and a mastery of a variation of sword dancing.
Since back then, actual hands were 1 in 30 births, she had to adapt to using the paws she was born with. to that effect, her sword play is based more on momentum instead of finger strength. Her blades (she has 3) are heavy and the hilts are thin (which I did NOT portray well here) to accommodate her little paws.
Her "dancing" was hard to read partly because she would juggle her swords or use one with her mouth, all starting with swift initial swings incorporated with body turns, spins, and flips.
Thanks to her paws, though, she was horrible at writing Kanji for talismans and hand symbols for incantations, which she dealt with because she'd rather kill the demon than seal it or something.
When Her little brother Salas (there will be a profile for him later) was born, she watched over him until he could walk, then she stole him. Almost immediately she trained him to be a better demon hunter than her. Since he was born with legitimate hands, he was perfect to be her successor. Her training was merciless, but she did it to protect her little brother, as demons were becoming more and more abundant.
She taught him as much as she could, but destiny came too soon. She had to fight Swipe in his prime. He had finally come to remove the hunter that had been picking off all of his children. She fought long and hard, using the best of her training, along side of her beloved brother who kept the lesser demons at bay.
She danced and danced to both dodge and strike the Great White Bat but he was significantly faster than she was, and her style was more taxing. Eventually, 2 of her 3 swords were broken, and with that, she didn't have long. She told Salas to do her a favor and run. Live to fight Swipe another day, for her. Reluctantly, Salas listened and fled just as Swipe reduced his poor sister to pieces...
The new Demon King Tensai heard his subordinate (the former Demon King, Swipe) regale this story and decided the end of Missy was a waste. Using his powers and Missy's dead heart, he resurrected her as a souless puppet, and told her to continue doing what she does best.
News of an innocent Demon killing, Dancing Vixen caught the news and reached Salas, left immediately to find her. When he found her, He foolishly tried to convince the puppet to return to him. His pleas falling on deaf ears, she found him to be both a threat and a nuisance and set herself to kill him. He couldn't fight her back, he loved her too much (more than a sibling should). Because of his foolishness, it took a mortal injury for him to finally strike her down, choosing to die next to the shadow of what his sister used to be.
He failed his promise to kill Swipe in her place. Still, somehow, they both found peace...
-Missy saw the demons in her other siblings and chose not to have any sort of contact with them. So she never got to know Ditty and Alecia(who will also get profiles later)
-Her tail was removed in an ambush by one of Swipe's children.
-Despite how long ago Missy lived, she was only 27 when she died.
-Valerie's sister Vannessa uses the same sword dancing style Missy did, without the juggling.
