Posting a couple of older pieces now, before moving on to the newer Anime North sculpts. This guy here was made last year for a project in my business class for my illustration degree. We were to create and make a business plan and project of our own. This was mine.
He is a reminder doll, and my prototype for a project I may still attempt. You stick the pins with notes of things from your to-do list into his bottom (where I poked holes specifically for that purpose), and leave him facing you at your computer, your desk, or where ever you work/procrastinate. From there, he just stares and stares and stares at you, with all those pins of things you need to get done sticking into him, guilting you to task. For each task you complete, you can remove a task from his bottom, hopefully lessoning your guilt and his disdain for you.
I got the idea for him from a transformer I used to leave sitting or standing by my computer, who'd look on with a look of disapproval as I worked (or didn't). He and the doll are surprisingly effective, and I'm still quite pleased with how he came out in the end, especially the texture and his floppy arms, as well as his balance.
He's not up for sale, unfortunately, being my only prototype and a bit crumbly around the holes on his bum now, but I hope to one day have them cast and made available for purchase.
If you are interested in purchasing any of my other pieces, or commissioning me, please feel free to note me.
