I started doing the Iron Artist thing awhile ago, and this was the first one, for  yaegashi

His character, Wes, as I recall, doesn't -exactly- have a home or a particularly amazing life, and is on the young side- but always kind of upbeat and happy.

and, like all children, totally prefers to be naked x3!

I was originally drawing this on Colors for the DS, with the idea of- He's having a chance to rest. it's sunset (maybe rise, judging by the colors) he's got some time to himself, so he puts his backpack down and just chills and watches. ... But I

of course, god forbid his backpack/pants/pillow are in the picture, but still.
i spent a fair amount of time on this, too, since Wes is, like.. extremely nice (and sent me more than double what i was asking for when he's strapped, himself)
and i like the overall result, in terms of colors.
