My first submission for your enjoyment.
Planet 2's name has no immediate significance, but my imagination did get brief glimpses of traveling amongst the planets of the/a solar system. Venus? Well not intentionally. The name stuck, for whatever reason. =) The original composition got lost twice, therefore got rewritten twice, but remains relatively what it is now.
Tools used: A PC running Amiga emulation, OctaMED Soundstudio, an EMU Proteus 2000.

Glad you like it. Sounds from the Proteus2K are all at once fantastic and frustrating. The main brunt of sound is one pad called 'Airborn'. It really does all the work for giving the texture and chords all by itself. Aside from that, it takes a while of sound searching to get the right drum kit put together. Having found that, the composition was much easier and rewarding.
Thanks for checking it out. My other songs will be along, after getting some necessary editing.

Heh. I do love my mods. My first love was SoundTracker, which appeared on a disk cover for CU magazine, I think. I met a friend in college that used MED, and we collaborated a bunch. After MED came OctaMED. Later, we split platforms. I went to SoundStudio and Digibooster Pro, while he started working on XM's with Fasttracker2. Lots of history, aye.
*gazes at the sky for a moment*
I have some old songs in ye old formats that I should be releasing later on. Can't guarantee the musical value as it was an age of exploration. ;)
Still, it'll be worth it to have it all recorded or converted, so I can start working on them again.

Hm. Some post-processing ideas, you say? I wouldn't mind hearing about them.
Yeah. What's nice is that I've got tools to convert some of my music to Win/PC friendly formats. It'll take a good chunk of time to get it sorted out and learn the tools, though.
I need MIDI-out support. Skale Tracker (once touted as FastTracker3) has some of that. If I had my way, I'd be using Buzzmachines, but the MIDI latency just couldn't be fixed on my computers, for whatever reason. I need to get to using a good midi sequencer... One that won't break the bank. ;) Still, I enjoy Trackers for their simplicity.
Strangely enough, The best MIDI sequencer I'd used was MasterTracks Pro. It was on all the computers in my college music class (3 Mac Classics, and one Atari ST.) Googling it now show it's still in developement. Surprise, surprise. Still $100, though. =

Well, the prime components on my machine are an Audigy 2 ZS notebook card, and an EMU 1x1 USB MIDI adapter. Both have ASIO in the drivers. Jeskola Buzz and I just don't get along. ;)
However, on a hunch, I downloaded a fresh installer and gave it a shot. Seems that the MIDI timing is working. Honestly, I've no idea what might have changed. I'll play around with it. Buzz is still very temperamental and crashes a lot... Still, It gives me more control over MIDI, and that'll come in rather handy.
Hehe. I'll dive into the retail bandwagon when I feel comfortable enough with a particular program. I soo need to invest in my computer, though. My screen is going dead with vertical lines in the LCD. A new monitor is a priority, if the my laptop video doesn't die altogether.
That aside, I'll give your suggestions a try. Multitrack wav editing could provide some interesting solutions, since the Proteus only handles one reverb and a secondary effect (chorus, flange, distortion, and delay). Hadn't really thought of it until now.
Heh. You're making plenty of sense. I suggest a couple more drinks, at least, next time, if inebriation is your goal. Just don't go driving. ;)
Thanks again for the comments and advice.
