I made some secondary badges for us, they're kind of like paper children! They're designed to look like they're "holding" onto the end of the lanyard. The hole punch was a bit large for them, but it works out because they can easily be added/removed from the lanyard without risking any ripping or tearing.
These are printed on premium paper then laminated with self adhesive lamination paper. They're about 4 inches tall each.

I'll let you on a little hint.
INSTEAD of using a hole punch use an xacto knife to make a precision cut.
it looks nicer and it doesn't take away from the character.
like example for that lovely mawtail one you could have JUST cut the mouth open a bit.
