Response to my last journal was so overwhelming (sarcasm) that I didn't know what to do, so I modeled these instead of one of the many, many suggestions that I had received (more sarcasm). Based loosely on a universal joint (no, that is not something everyone gets high off of all at the same time), these segments will make up some robotic arms in an animation project that I decided to pick up again. No animals yet, but those arms are eventually going to end up strapped to dolphins, so this will lead to animal related art in the future. This is the third redesign that the arms have been through, but I really like the way these arms will add a more dynamic feel to some of the animation over the other designs I had come up with. I can already see the scenes in my head.

This will be moved to scraps when a completed version of the arms is uploaded.
