well, pneumatics give you force and precision that matches and surpasses human muscle but you'd need to refill the airtank depending on the force you use
for materials, i'd say what my buddy xolroc said, invar, its 1.5 times stronger than steel and doesnt expand/contract when heated/cooled, the high nickel content makes it pretty corrosion resistant, and nobody can pull the 'giant electromagnet' schtick with you to disable you since it's non magnetic
i mades of arave of hermy foxes that all have an augmetic(i say augmetic myself as opposed to automail but its the same thing), either an arm or their tail, as a sigh that they are mature
