Artist Statement:

Sometimes, being alone isn't a bad thing. When things are quiet, it gives us time to reflect and meditate and generally figure things out. But then there are moments when being alone is utterly unbearable and soul crushing. Some of us are good at being alone - we've been by ourselves for a very long time that it becomes a habit. Some of us are alone by choice. Then there are those of us who, after a lifetime of being alone, realize that we really aren't okay with it.

This character is one I identify with. I wouldn't say she's my fursona, but if I had one, it would be her. She is a wolf-bear. Picture done in watercolor and ink
