Solon insisted that the band of companions stop for the evening, convinced that there was something lurking just around the corner; he had no idea it was concealed amongst the forest cover above their heads.
Prydwen sat after the fire had been set and enjoyed a quick treat in a rare moment of bliss and Auric read as he normally did to pass time. Einheriar crooned restlessly in the background, trying to absorb some of the comforting heat that bathed the small, sheltered clearing as Solon stared, uneasily into the fire.
The Wyrm Asmodeus sat in wait, keeping tabs on the band of misfits, waiting to report back to his counterparts of the location and destination of the band of wanderers. What will be the outcome of this momentarily idyllic scene?

One of my Contest Enteries for the Prydwen Fanart competition. I enjoyed how much I didn’t know when doing these- I haven’t been doing digital art much, so this was a great opportunity to learn and create some interest for myself and for the release of the Prydwen Graphic Novel in COLOUR :) I drew the whole scene- background and all - and it took a really really long time.
The characters are purposefully slightly smaller in this scene to emphasise their vulnerability in their big wide and unpredictable world. After reading the comic, one of the strong themes is that Gods don’t even dictate what comes to pass, and we are very much alone to pursue our destinies, save ofcourse for a few close friends. I enjoyed reading it so far, and look forward to more!
