Nice job. And, weren't those the same words Howard Carter (I think that was his name?) said on discovering Tut's tomb?

I've been researching Egyptian gods lately for a possible story, so this fit nicely into my other reading... :)

*nods* yup, those were the words exchanged by Lord Canarvon and Howard Carter when they opened King Tutankhamun's tomb ^.^ I'm a HUGE ancient Egypt fanatic so I thought I'd throw that in there.

And if you write a story with Egyptian gods I will love you forever...^.^

Cool story!
I always think of the pressure equalizing when a sealed tomb has been sealed airtight then breached by archaeologists after centuries. I think the Indiana Jones movies have tainted me.

Great story. Very vivid, detailed. I liked reading this although it wasn't revealed what was behind the door. Made it actually better, let the reader decide what was hidden in the ruins. Great short story.
