Candy is dandy but bacon candy is better from the kitchens of
bmagus
We made candied bacon again (which I will be bringing to the EFM arcade meet tonight). And I took notes for a recipe :D
Recipe:
2 Lbs bacon
8 oz Maple Syrup (approx)
8 oz Brown Sugar (approx)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place approximately 6-7 strips of bacon on it, making sure the strips don't overlap. Coat the top of each strip in brown sugar, rubbing it into the bacon. Drizzle maple syrup over the bacon. You only want to add a line of maple syrup about half of the width of the bacon strip, per strip.
Cook for 11 minutes on the middle rack. Flip and then cook another 5 minutes (or longer to desired crispiness). Once the bacon is fully cooked, set it on a separate piece of aluminum foil to cool and solidify.
Note: Syrup and brown sugar amounts are estimates of what we used
