Apparently Nintendo's writer for Metroid Other M thought the gravity suit being purple was silly, and replaced it with a pink aura. Y'know, give more respect to the gravity suit. It might not have the most easygoing colour scheme but it's definitely not silly. There's too much Varia Suit anyway.
