I never save transparency for images intended for FA. :( I think their thumbnails and shit are in goddamned jpeg.

i guess it somehow saves bandwidth I guess??? It still fails for only allowing transparency for downloading

Although PNG has to be optimized manually per image, if you do optimize it you get a better file size.

So I guess it's not suitable for automatically generated thumbnails, since the optimization is substandard if it's automatic...
