I've been living with a chinchilla adopted from a dear friend of mine for a few months now, and after some adjustments, I am thoroughly smitten. She is a little dear thing. <3 Rodents are wonderful.

I had a chin alarm clock this morning (sometimes I'll sleep on the futon and let her out to run around the living room/kitchen area in my apartment)! Hoppin' all over my head nibbling my hair, nose, arms...anything she could get her little teef on! <:

Haha I took a nap with Drama and a couple others and I had rat nose all over my face and his little hands pawing at me. I think they thought I was dead.

I bought him from a mom and pop store in Bradford, PA. The lady breeds her own stock. He was part of her stock, I think. I dunno. I purchased him as an adult because every time I went there, I always saw him and I wanted him so bad. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and just bought him. XD I named him Drama because for the longest time he'd just scream in terror if you even so much as looked at him. It was meant to be a placeholder name but I never thought of anything better... xD;

My little chin has a fur-biting issue; she'll get all freaked out if you move her fan from the side of the cage she likes best to the other side, and over other silly little things. She's had a few homes, plus a litter of little babies at some point in her life! I agree with you on the thinking their peoples are dead thing; Meeka makes concerned 'weep' noises when I lie down to try and sleep.

Here's to mom and pop shops! Alas, it is closing in on midnight on my end of the internets, so I will have to bid you adieu for now! Hopefully we'll get an opportunity to chat again sometime; you're quite an interesting creature! :)
