The Mandrake lies half-buried in the soil. It's scream is deadly.
It is possible to dig one up without it screaming, but you have to be REALLY DAMN CAREFUL. Demo Dragon Mandrakes walk the earth at night to absorb moonlight with their hair-like leaves and bury themselves again by morning. They will nest in one area unless they think themselves discovered, then they will move somewhere else.
They sing when it rains, the singing is considerede very good luck and is not at dangerous. The root of the Demo Dragon Mandrake cures most diseases, and is thus highly coveted, but the dangerous nature is such that they are very rare to come by. Sometimes the mandrake will leave roots on the doorsteps of the ill. The roots look like toes.
