I was feeling creative, so I grabbed a sprite of Oshawott from Bulbapedia, converted it into a stitching chart with 'Cross Stitch Made Simple', went out and spent too much money on the threads, and stitched this up in a few hours.
This is meant to be a cross stitch, but because I bought the wrong canvas it's unsuitable for that, so i had to resort to tapestry instead.
I mooted the idea of stitching Pokémon some months ago, but this is the first time I've actually done it. It was a fun, quick project, and I'll definitely do it again.
If anyone would like a favourite Pokemon stitched and sent to them, I'm happy to. :) A little donation in the way of paying for the labour and postage would be appreciated; sending them 'as is' without a frame in an envelope would be the cheapest and easiest option.

It's an interesting sideline that's fun and different. :) I've pondered the idea of trying to stitch the entire Pokédex -- all 646, but I think I'd start with the first 151 and see how that went.
I'm looking forward to this. ^.^ I'm a Pokémon addict now.
Hehe, guess tapestry weaving was the original pixel art.
