...what would you take?
Fanart for a movie called Leap Year. The plot itself was kinda generic, but there was this one scene I really enjoyed for it's use of visual metaphor.
The main character, the female pictured under the spotlight, was proposed to by her fiancee. But she suspected that he only proposed for publicity, so she put a metaphor she learned from a man she was stuck with to use.
She pulled the fire alarm and stood still for sixty seconds. As she counted, no one came for her, not even her fiancee. When the time was up, she left him and the building behind, metaphorically killed by the fire.
Granted, the metaphor was a little unfair. Any normal person would have attempted to leave, not stood there in place. And even if they were stuck, they would cry for help. But I loved the scene for the way it was portrayed. I hope I was able to capture it in this drawing.
