edit: ctrl f5 -- had to change the color mode.
A quickie piece I did for an illustration class last year. I like the concept, I would expand it with more detail and tweak it significantly. It is the goddess Sekhmet on the horizon doing her angry thang. I'd re-do this with an entire Egyptian city I think ( which I didnt have time for during school ) .
I have a small LE print of this for this year's anthrocon artshow.
In scraps because its old and I'm picky :)

Id try to lay down some heavy books on it for starters, at least so its workable.
Watercolour would be okay, but opaque gouache or inks work best from my experience.
then you get some spray glue in a can, find a sturdy support such as an illustration board, and stick it on. Lay it down again with heavy books while it dries. Then you should have it flat again.

Comment is long time coming but I take forever and get lazy. -.-
First off, it's really nice seeing a depiction of Sekhmet that doesn't have her posing as a pin-up or just looking placated and calm. She was a war goddess (among other things) so I really like seeing the more warlike aspect here after countless images that just don't capture the feel of what she represented so THANK YOU.
Love the colors and textures you have going on as well as the simplistic design and minimal use of detail lines. Wonderfully dynamic pose and beautiful execution of the facial expression. Top notch. :)
