This started out as a little vignette, but it sort of grew into something a bit too long to fit into a journal, so it can go here as a story.

Note: features a lot of potty-training-talk and not a lot else, so if you're looking for a work of literature rather than an overlong Zee-Zee snippet, you should probably look elsewhere. ^.^

I do like to RP, but I just never find the time to do it, and I already feel horribly guilty about neglecting a lot of RP friends as it is, so I can't really promise to ever be around to play...
I would love it if you wrote a story, though, and I'd do my best to repay the favour! *hugs* Thank you! ^.^

Aww, you put Josh in it, thanks man ^_^
Cute story, dang Zee-Zee can be stubborn to wanna be independent, but he really needs help, especially with a slee-- I mean a waker LOL Josh wouldn't have that problem since he loves attention when going potty... hey, that's it! Next time, Zee-Zee should ask JOSH to go with him, I mean Zee-Zee wouldn't be getting help from a "grown-up" per-say XD make sense, clever squirrel?
Great story, I'd like to see more of Josh in them... and who are the others? Who is Sarah and Maxy? Whoever they are, they sound like fun cubs to play with, and the four of us make a potty-pact LOL!!!
Oh, one question, was the line "important chatter about whether they should play at getting stuck in the bushes" a nod to me?
Again, great story!

Heehee, yeah, asking Josh for help would be a great idea! Zee-Zee should've thought of that one... ^.^
And yep, the stuck game was for Joshy - the other little cubs didn't get much to do, but I tried to give them all a little character moment. We're all potty-trainers who have fun together! Max belongs to

Kazootles! This was a most amazing story, Zoomer! I don't even know where to start in pointing out all the positives that go along with it!
First, I kust remark on the "Awaker". That's brilliant and definitely somethin a little one would say to justify wearing something that is more designed for night wear. The fact he kept forgetting to call it an Awaker really added to the humor as, with my son, it is funny when he forgets his own ideas and then has to be reminded what he said in which he then isists "That's what I said!"
I also approve ighly of the part where Mrs. Bun "just had to" get Zee-Zee that sleeper. My mom is like that when she goes shopping and uses the whole "On Sale" as justification to pick up something she would've picked up for my son whether-or-not it was on sale. Mommies really can't help but to do things like that as smiling lil' ones are what seem to make them happier than anything else in this world.
The fact that Zee-Zee had to be reminded to say "Thank You" is also something I am super familiar with. I can't tell you how many times my little guy will get something and then want to to run off with it before saying, "Thanks" and either my wife or I say, "Aren't you forgetting something?"
I also know from a recent costume purchase for my son how they want to stay in the cool thing they got and not take it off. My wife found him a Ghostbusters costume and he goes around with that non-stop. I've already had to wash it for how stained and messy he got it "Busting ghosts" around the house and neighborhood.
fAs for Zee-Zee, I feel his plight in having made such a mess of his sleeper. Admitting you need help, especially in Zee-Zee's case, is tough as he sees himself as a role model and the last thing role models want to do is seem any bit less worth looking up to. Sure he ended up with piddle pants with a bit of poo for his stubborness, but he did learn his lesson and that, my friend, is how you successfully wrote a story that met all story standards as your character got into a situation and learned from it by the end. Super work!
You always impress me on how in-tune you are with the little kid experience. I'd swear you were a dad yourself if it weren't for how you've never made any such mention of it. Did you have to raise younger brothers or sisters growing up? You just so hit the nail on the head when it comes to little ones. This is why I am so advocating for you to get Jayce and Alex out. My Yoshi egg would it be a great read for folks as you are just gifted in the world of childhood and your way of presenting it.

Well, then, you then have a true gift for capturing the magic of childhood. I try my best with the Haposaurs, but you really go into awesome depth when presenting a believable scenario for little ones given each situation you place them in. :)
Would it be safe to say, as one with a good memory, you recall a lot from your childhood and, as such, it helps fuel your writing?
On another note, I believe I may have forgotten your birthday. :( If so, I am very sorry. Once I get fully better, I will do my best to make you something special to belatedly celebrate the merry, squirrely occassion. :)

*giggle* My birthday's not till Sunday, but don't feel you have to do something special! Just reading your comments here is always a great present! ^.^
And I wouldn't say that I really remember more from my childhood than most people do, I'm only good at remembering completely useless things!

<LoL!> I know where you are coming from there. My memory is sharp as a tack for things like diaper commercials, cute piccies, and anything gaming related. However, when it comes to remembering how to cook some things, or the proper format for writing a business article, etc. I'm a goner. :)
On a related note, one never knows when useless knowledge can be useful. Look at Jeopardy. It is, like a lot of Game Shows, a haven for those filled with useless knowledge. And you get paid for it!
Sunday birthday? I probably won't be able to get online so, in advance in case I miss, Happy Squirrely Birthday, you clever fella' *Flutterhugs*
