Well, I wanted to wait for the final coloured version - this is usually more expressive than the line art!
Despite the little flaw down left (there's some black parts missing, I guess) this is a pretty fine drawing of your character!!!
One aspect immediatly caught my attention: the shading/lighting! Usually, you're previous artworks always looked a little bit "too bright" or "too soft". This time, and I can see that, you've used some darker shadings and textures... you also were more "brave" by using these darker colours.
The entire character looks more "crispy" and more "alive"... due to the (partially extreme) differences in dark shading and bright highlights. But you've also managed to give the character a believable fur texture - WITHOUT drawing every single hair!!!
Is it just me or... is this the FIRST time you added some highlights at the EYES?? They look more... "wet" and thus very natural. In the past, some of your eye designs looked too flat and TOO cartoony... this time (the eye's design is still cartoony) they look quite "touchable" and alive!!
You see, this word is important to me: ALIVE!!!!!
One more detail: the leather... the black leather looks splendid! You've never done such a fine expression of black leather! I mean... it's shiny... I can almost see my face in there, while looking at it (mirror)! XD
Seriously, it looks great!
And I hope nobody forgets to mention that this ROSE looks darn great!!! Such a pretty, well drawn rose, indeed. Owwww, yeah! I mean, I love roses and I've always had huge problems at drawing them. And this one... it's a very, VERY pretty flower and brilliantly drawn. ^___^
Respect.
Carry on!!!
I think you've done some huge improvements!
