Listening to this again, it could do with actually using VST instruments, rather than samples of them.
It was probably that I did not want to deal with an oddity of Superwave P8, where it sometimes needed to "warm-up" for a moment to achieve the correct sound. Perhaps it was the host program at fault. I forget. I digress.
