Ray was depressed; he was headed down the street for home. He recently broke up with his girlfriend, Tracy. He had been in a relationship for nearly two years, but he has dumped so suddenly that he didn’t know how to take it. He wasn’t ready to just end it with Tracy; he had so much planned; now he had nothing to do.
He planned on just sitting on his couch all day playing video games, not thinking about anything at all to him forget. He had plenty of other things to do, but right now he didn’t feel like doing anything. He took the long way home to help him ease his mind, because strolling by the familiar shops and restaurants were he used to go with Tracy would just upset him more.
Ray noticed that he hadn’t been down this street in a long time, and he hardly recognized any of the stores that were opened on the street. He saw a sign that grabbed his attention “Dynasty Trinkets” he felt that he had nothing better to do, so Ray went inside to see what they had to interest him.
As Ray walked through the door he noticed that the building looked much bigger on the inside than the outside, like a couple other buildings he visited, so that didn’t bother him. He browsed the aisles looking for something that spiked his interests. Across the shelves, masks, necklaces, small blades, and odd artifacts were scattered. He looked all around, but he couldn’t find anything.
As he rummaged through a box of random trinkets, he pulled out a small necklace with a tiki charm dangling from it. He found it to be pretty neat, so he took it up to the clerk at the desk.
“How much do you want for this thing” asked Ray
“Whoa, were did you find that, Its not for sale I suggest you put that back were you found it, or I will ask you to leave the store.” The clerk responded almost shocked.
“Okay, Okay I will” Ray said as he turned back to the bin he found it from. He was about to put it back when he heard a strange voice.
“NO, don’t put me back I beg you”
“Wha…, who said that” Ray beckoned.
“Its me in your hand, mon” said the tiki charm in his hand “I’m not like the other simply enchanted charms, no I am her to make your life a whole lot better mon. Now get me out of here.”
“I can’t the guy over there says your not for sale, there is no way I am going to get you out of her without getting caught by the cops.” Ray said.
“Oh don’t ya worry about that, when you’re stuck in a box fer ten years you have a long time to think. I’ve been planning this for a long time mon. So here is what-a you’ve got to do. Ya see that litta donkey necklace there, yea I want ya to sneak it around that mon’s neck ova there. Don’t ya worry now the effects are only for an hour ya see.” Said the tiki.
“Well okay if you say so, but you better make my life a whole lot better.” Exclaimed Ray.
“Cross ma heart” said the tiki.
Ray grabbed the donkey charmed necklace from the shelf and shuffled over to the clerk at the desk. He asked him how much he wanted for the trinket. He turned around to pick up the receipt for his necklace, but Ray quickly placed the charm around his neck.
A voice from the charm sang out “Why hello their, fool. You’re as dumb as they come for putting me on, dumb as a donkey they might say. Yes just as dumb as a donkey, nothing more nothing less, just a donkey. You see, you are even starting to look like one. Only a donkey has ears that big on the top of his head, oh and you face is picture perfect as well. Is that gray fur, yes that is just the coat of fur donkeys’ have. I love your tail two, look at that, and your hands and feet are hooves. If I didn’t know any better I’d say you actually were one. Oh my fun I am going to have with you, because only you are dumb enough for my entertainment.”
The donkey charm’s recital finished and Ray was overcome with shock on what he saw. He never expected to see a necklace make fun of someone turning into a donkey. He did have a talking tiki charm though.
“Perfect mon, now to finally get outa here.” Said the tiki
“Hold on, if that thing did that, what do you do, this better not be a set up.” Ray said cautiously.
“No don’t ya worry, you could trust ma, put ma around ya neck, see nuddin’ happened.”
“Well I guess you’re right, but what do you do, what powers do you have?” questioned Ray.
“Well whats ya favorite animal mon.
“Rhinos, why?”
“No reason, but lets go on an’ check out tha zoo, I want to see everything again.”
“Don’t see why not, I got a free pass.”
From the store Ray walked down the street towards the zoo, he finally had something to get him out of his depression, so he was going to go with it. He walked into the zoo hoping to find some excitement their, but the park was practically empty. He didn’t realize that the park closed in ten minutes so he had to get out.
“Whats ya doing, why leave, why not stay a night, live a li’l mon.”
“All right, but if I get into trouble guess who I am returning.”
“No worries just hid in da bushes no ones gonna find ya.”
Ray found a hiding spot behind some greenery, and waited for all the staff to clear out. Ray found it fairly easy to play the waiting game, and it seemed to go by quickly, even though it took them an hour and a half to clear out. After he was alone he ventured out to see some things.
“So ya say ya like da rhinos, den I got a treat for ya, its waiting ova der.”
“So that’s why you asked me, what are you gonna do.”
Ray ran as fast as his legs could carry him to the rhino exhibit. He made a few short stops along the way to check the other animals, which were beginning to settle down for the night. He finally found the wide open rhino habitat in the back of the zoo.
“Okay tiki what were you gonna show me”
“Jest get closer to da rhinos, get in da habitat, dat should be close enough.”
“Okay now what, I’m in the habitat what do you want to show me.”
“Want to see ma powers, well den ya gotta say ‘I wish dat body was mine’ say it and den ya see ma power.
“Ray closed his eyes and recited “I wish that body was mine.” He opened his eyes to a spectacle taking place before him. The tiki’s mouth was dangling down even farther that the necklace was. A small twister was being sucked in to his mouth while the twister found its target at the rhino. The skin where the twister touched the rhino was turning a brown-wood color. The rhino was being turned totally to wood, and quickly two. Its side was engulfed in the woody appearance, and the transformation began to overtake its head. From its lower jaw to the tip of its horn, was now wood but the animal still moved.
“Dat’s the first part, dat rhino is ma puppet now I can make him do what I want, but ma next trick requires anudder volunteer. How bout ya.”
A transformation was beginning to com over Ray’s body. His skin was becoming paler. His color was fading before his eyes, but then his skin revealed gray. Similar reactions were happening all over his body. Blotches of gray skin began to cover his entire body. His clothes started to disappear, he did not know why, but seconds later they completely vanished. All that he could see all over him was gray, wrinkly skin. Suddenly he began to grow. He fattened up almost instantly, reaching around a ton in just a snap. His muscles in his arms and legs swelled so that they could support his tremendous weight. He came crashing onto the ground, on all fours only to witness something new. His face began to grow longer and longer reaching near a foot from his eyes. From the tip of his lengthened snout, a bump started to grow. It grew in circumference, and it began to sharpen to some sort of a point. It turned out to be a horn. He was a rhino, Ray felt like he could trample the world under his massive step.
“Ya enjoyin’ yaself. Thought so. How do ya like ma powers, you want ta have a li’l fun with it do ya?”
Ray shook his head not being able to speak English anymore because he was a rhino. He ran around, charging at anything he desired. He admired his own strength he never wanted to change back. He looked over at the wooden rhino with was dancing about. Tiki seemed to entertain himself doing this.
“So much fun in jest one night, we gotta do dis more often mon, but lets go do somtin’ else, not in a big heavy thing mood.”
From Ray’s neck, his rhino appearance faded away revealing his in his clothes again. The puppet rhino’s skin came back and it seemed like nothing happened at all. On the way to the exit, Ray spotted a horse exhibit. Tiki was rambling about something, that Ray wasn’t paying attention to, when he blurted out “I want that body.”
The twister appeared once again, and targeted the horse. Its fur covered body gave way to the wooden appearance. A puppet of the tiki was standing their in the habitat, while Ray himself began to make his changes.
The first thing that happned was a mane that streaked down his neck. He already started feeling faster, and stronger. Fur appeared in tufts. One there, one other there, his body was soon consumed in the fine horse hair. As his body began to bulk up, his hands shifted to hooves, and he fell on them. His face creeped, forming a completely new muzzle in front of his head. He let out a whiney, and took off sprinting down the walkway. He felt alive again, he didn’t need Tracy, he was free and exited, but then an idea struck him.
“Tiki, is there more of you, could you have one more of your power” said Ray
“Oh, Oh I know what ya thinking, for tha girl right.”
“How did you know, I never told you about her”
“Didn’t have to. When ya transform, I control ya mind, I can see them things in there. But yes I can make another one of me, and easy to, ya see ma puppet over there, just ya watch.”
Ray watched the puppet, as it started to have a spasm. It twitched violently, folding over itself, until it wrapped itself into the size of a fist. Ray walked over to it on all fours. He realized that the horse was now a tiki charm as well.
“Hey sista how is it”
“Oh bruddah, I just came back and you ask me how my new life had been, jest like you.” Said the other tiki.
“So sista, this boy ova der wants a girl back, ya mind helpin’ us out.”
“Oh, not at all bruddah, they don’t call me the luv witch doctor for nothing.”
“Ray get out of that body, we got us a girl to get ya” said tiki
Ray’s horse body disappeared, and he found himself running for the exit. He was beyond exited, he had tiki charms to keep him busy, and he was going to get Tracy back. He ran down the street with two tiki charms swinging from his neck. He ran and ran until he couldn’t run any more. He stopped only a few houses away from Tracy’s house.
He walked towards her front yard. Ray saw that Tracy was sitting in her upstairs bedroom. She appeared to be home alone, because there were no cars in the driveway. There was no way to get inside, but then he saw her dog napping in the doghouse. “I want that body”
A whirlwind opened up from tiki’s mouth, and hit the dog. Its body was transferred to rays. The poodle was becoming wooden and becoming a puppet. The wooden construct hopped around the yard pleasing both tikis. The transformation continued on Ray. Big puffy tufts of fur popped up around Ray’s body. A furry tail grew at a steady pace behind him, and he wagged it in his enjoyment. His face shifted, and a muzzle now adorned his face. He was Tracy’s dog and now that dog was going to get his girl back.
He walked up into the house through the doggy door. He hopped up the stairs and entered Tracy’s room. He pretended to be her dog, who found a little necklace in the grass. Tracy went down to pet the dog, and Ray’s spell wore off. Now there was Tracy’s ex-boyfriend standing were her dog was.
“WHAT JUST HAPPENED!” screamed Tracy.
“Okay, look these little tiki charms can turn us into animals, I have been using them all night, and I wanted to share them with you. I want you back Tracy.”
“What? Well, if I enjoy this little trip I will take you back, and if not, I take these for myself.”
“Fine but you will not be disappointed.”
The two waked out of the house and journeyed into the forest. The wandered about looking for a couple of animals to test on. Halfway through the night they wound what they were looking for. Ray handed Tracy a tiki, and the two pointed them at a group of foxes.
Vortexes opened from the tiki’s mouth. They hit both foxes with a force. As the two animals fell to the ground they were consumed in a wooden appearance. From the tip of their snout to the end of their tail, the two foxes were just the tikis wooden puppets.
A similar transformation overtook Tracy and Ray. An orange rim of fur sprouted fro their necks and continued down their bodies. A thick coat of fur was now all that covered them. Tails popped out behind them tipped off in a white patch of fur. The fur on there hands and feet grew in black, as they rapidly shifted to paws. On their heads, ears began to slip and slide to the tops of their heads before becoming pointed and covered in fur. A canine muzzle protruded from their faces and created a longer nose for them.
“Well there is one thing I can say to you Ray.” Said Tracy in a fox language. “That was amazing I come back to you if we use those things all the time.”
“Thank you Tracy, I love you” responded Ray.
The loving couple walked off into to the woods to be alone, leaving the tiki charms behind on a stump not to far away. They just wanted to be alone now, and make up for their lost time.
“Oh sista, want to drum up a litta chaos.” Said the tiki.
“Don’t ya know it bruddah.” Said its sister.
The two tikis had there puppets pick them up by the lace and carry them off behind a tree so the two love birds wouldn’t see.
“What could we do, make it permanent?” asked its sister.
“Na, I was thinkin’ more like switchin’ their places, make em a li’l mixed up.” Responded the tiki.
“Oh I see what ya doing, a little mixed up luv bruddah.”
The tikis’ eyes grew a mischievous yellow. Their gaze brought the attention of the two foxes that now began growing to a human size. The anthromorphic foxes looked at each other with confusion. All of a sudden, Rays chest expanded revealing medium sized breasts. Tracy watch him in a panic as she underwent her own transformation. She felt her own breast fade away, taking away her womanhood. The two let out a scream across the wilderness in shock.
“Well that anudder job well done sista. We should do dis again sometime.”
“Oh don’t ya know it I love or mischievous adventures, you never know what’s gonna happen bruddah.”
He planned on just sitting on his couch all day playing video games, not thinking about anything at all to him forget.
