Oh wow. I really do love this. The textures and shading is simply gorgeous.
And I love the way the gun is pointed at the viewer, beautifully complimented by the look in his eye.
Just something about looking down the barrel of a gun by someone more than willing to use it, that captures a wonderful sense of power and urgency in a picture.

I like the idea of this one, and it is also very well executed! Nice detailing, nice shading all around, and the composition itself is just perfect. If I look at it really deep, maybe the light source or sources weren't considered well enough, maybe some light and shadow is a bit off (I think probably the cheek shouldn't be so bright, at least based on the other lit and shaded areas I don't quite see it's light source), but not much. It may also be the natural colouring of the griffin, or my own incompetence in this matter. Anyway, I like it, and that's what matters! :)
