Ook/Dook Island is 2-3 city blocks wide on each side and on a platform that generally stays stable in hurricanes. Not worth stopping a 100 mile wide hurricane for. As for other residents of the sea, well, they're mostly on boats that can outrun a hurricane. You're on your own, ferrets and lemmings.

not to be so political, (my other nature) this would be a good demonstration to swing voters. "Buy this great wonderful device through the Democrats" - then when the storm comes your way you find out the fine print restricts your actions, like a Republican you'll howl about "why did we HAVE TO have this useless thing and get taxed for it too!"
