In audio-video techniques we we're playing with camera effects and stuff and we found out how to do an interesting trick...a ghost effect. This is my classmate Nate...he's dead and stuff...um yeah

Not really... There's two ways to do it, digi OR film:
Double Exposure-
Fist, you'll need a camera that supports multiple exposures. Set the camera on a tripod and use a remote trigger to take the pictures - btw, use Manual Focus.
Using a setting that would give two under-exposed images, take the first shot with the subject in place, then a second without. If the camera didn't move you should have a crisp ghost-like shot.
Long Exposure-
Set the aperature to something super-insane, like f20 or something. Take the picture with the subject in place for 30 seconds or so, maybe with a diffused flash from behind the camera to help. Then get the subject out of the frame and let the picture finish for another 5 or 10 seconds.
No matter how you do it, it's a challenge... but not that tough once you get the tricks down, fortunately.

ok honestly. Its a trick with shutter speed, you set the speed down so the thing stays open as long as possible. You get someone to stand normally then take the picture the shutter will open then the person your photographing moves out of frame before the shutter closes again. You get a 'ghost' effect
