well we have two crab apple trees.. this tree is of the old, old variety, and is a little sweeter, but still sour.... i like the apples from this tree the most.. have just the perfect combination of sour and sweet..
the other tree, they really sour, to the point the apples almost taste like wood... even right up until they fully ripened and fall off the tree on their own..
