ah very true... and many of the Chakats tend to hide in the shadows.... i recently found one that had never interacted with another Chakat before

Found it in the IAQ: "Firstly, although chakats are hybrids, they are still predominantly feline. The cheetah chakat is a variation on the standard chakat. Although they still possess most of the standard features of chakats, they have been optimised for speed. They don't have handpaws because they need paws more suitable for running. They have a leaner and more flexible body, and no mane to add wind resistance. They are able to run almost as fast as a natural cheetah, but running is not their only forté. In fact ALL their reflexes have been tuned for extremely fast reactions, and they are exceptional pilots, and excel at any activities that require very fast reaction speeds. They all are cheetah-patterned, unlike the random patterning of the normal chakats. " Gotta thank Goldfur for putting up the temp page or i would have gone crazy.
from looking at the Chakamil reference page I would guess that any lynx style chakat is at least part chakamil.

anyways, that's interesting that the cheetah ones are the only ones really mentioned specifically ... i would think both would have been mentioned... the lynx ones were so specific too...
from what i remember of the Chakmils, they were just a very specific event where just a few were bred for their specific warlike traits.... it doesn't say if there are other lynx type chakats that were not part of that breeding.... so it makes me almost wonder ....

It is interesting that there is a mention of the cheetah variant, I think I have only ever seen them mentioned in passing on the info pages, I do not remember seeing Goldfur use them in a story (I have not read all of the fan written ones so I am not sure if a fan has used them... well besides me, one of my Grandparents is a cheetah Variant). I wonder if they were an idea Goldfur had toward the beginning of the universe but have fallen by the wayside.
For the chakamil's that sounds like the gist of it. I think they were created by a fan author for a specific story but I can't remember which one. I guess we could always solve the question and ask Goldfur if there are any lynx style chakats that are not chakamils.
