I wanted to go through to see just how many canine sculpts I've made and what they've looked like from when I first started till now...
1. March 30, 2009: I had just started to learn about resin masks and molds and wanted to try my hand. That was before doing my homework *cough*. Learned 2 things that try... latex molds do NOT like cure quickly, and polyurethane resin floor sealer is NOT the type or resin to use. I had only remembered the 'urethane" part and if I had googled such a word I would have been lead to the proper stuff.
2. December 1, 2009: Much homework done and a new partner in crime,
sugarpoultry and I made our first legit sculpts and casts. even though its old, I still adore this base
3.December 10, 2010: Not a base often used, this one was the upgrade from the one made a year prior. much more detailed, it still yeilds some unique masks.
4.December 15, 2010: had a commission call for a larger base with a shorter muzzle and in a way I kind of took a step back. Only used it a grand total of 4 times, it wasn't one I was overly proud of.
5.March 2011: A much greater leap, this one has always been a favorite base of mine. Sadly the mold only lasted 3 pulls and destroyed itself on the third, disfiguring the casting.
6. June 15, 2011: My first official "23" size wolf I was rather happy with it at the time but was more focused upon the size rather than detail. With each one I would need to make some adjustments and was not overly happy with it.
7. September 2011: My first and only fox at the moment. While it's yeilded some neat masks, I will be updating it with some proper proportions. Sculpted from the June 15th wolf sculpt, it held a couple of its previous sculpted flaws.
8. October 27, 2011: Only one pull from this mold thus far, this was sculpted over the March 2011 miscast, restoring and updating what I could from the pull. While the head pictured bears the base, it has some padding upon the cheeks and brow. I will some day make a mask from it to see how it really looks.
9. May 25, 2012: Most recent and up to date wolf/canine sculpt. This has yet to be molded but I'm super happy with this. It was sculpted over a fox base (part of muzzle removed) so I was able to tackle the previous flaws, make it much larger to accommodate larger head sizes, avoid past mistakes, and to try some new methods. I will be making a mold of this soon to see how the casts pull and result :)

I had purchased the gallon kit of Dragonskin 20 (makes the BEST molds I swear) but I have about 1/3 of the tub left for part B and it's completely gelled through o.O Spoke with Breakspire about it, she made mention of it either not sealed properly (with how my lid is... um yeah, poor seal) or the temperature so I get to buy more silicone before molding this mask. *shrugs* Tis be a learning experience for storing silicone for sure.
