"Heart Is On The Line..."
"...runnin' outta time
Love stop makin' a fool outta me..."
A drawing I did through the duration of 2 repeats of Rod Stewart's "Heart Is On The Line" from his Camouflage album from 1984.(which is about 8 minutes)
Done in my new style. Done with a REGULAR pencil this time, not a mechanical one.;P I had to sharpen it every 30 seconds to keep it as sharp as my mechanical one:D
the "Love" that's making a fool out of Rod is portrayed as the woman in the top left corner. Everything that's putting Rod's "Heart on the line" has a heart on it, representing the evil woman, who represents "love." (Kinda confusing, but....)
Anyways, somethin' that kept me from going crazy outta boredom...
FY!: I had this concept floating around in my head for about a year now(ever since I heard the full version of the song, instead of a dinky ringtone) and I can safely say that the pics floating around in my head for this attributed to the development of the whole look about my new style.......and to the design of Rod Stewagoe....His skinny, almost "stick-figure" like physique, his big eyes, and his cartoony expressions---all go back to these images that were stuck in my skull, STILL, to this date!(*whew!* THAT was a lot to say, my hands are almost dead now....LOL!)
I actually drew this concept around that time, but my new style hadn't really 'settled down' yet, plus my skills weren't up to my standards now, so I decided to redo it. I might post the original in scraps later.......
