This is one of the tadpoles me and my brother are taking care of.
It's not so tadpoley anymore.
This guy has been "testing out" the little piece of land all day.
...It looks like I'm going to have to change the tank to a less aquatic environment pretty soon... xD
This tadpole's name is "Mario". His brother is "Luigi". My brother named them. xD Although their alternate names are "Dwayne" and "Johnson", but that's just what my boyfriend named them to tease my brother. ...It's a long and very stupid story.
The other tadpole only has tiny back legs yet...so they are not growing at the same time. xD

LOL.
The poor thing...a little while ago, I saw him sitting completely out of the water on the rock thing, so I snuck over to look at him, but he saw me coming and JUMPED for the first time ever...and hit his head on the top of the tank D;
The poor thing. xD I'm not trying to hurt ya, little guy!

How did she clean it? Sometimes frogs (and fish) can be poisoned by the chlorine in tap water!
If you describe how she cleaned it, maybe I can pinpoint the problem. When I clean their water, I usually take out about 30% and replace it with new tap water, but I treat the water with water conditioner -- you can buy that at any pet store, it will be in the fish section. :D

Oh gosh, this makes me smile & brings back memories of fun times. My Brother & I when we kids would catch us tadpoles out of this "swamp" near our school and then care for them until they grew into frogs; then we would take them back into the "swamp" brush area and let them go. Really cute picture, so glad you shared it with us and about the "Rock" and this guys first JUMP too!
8D I'm not sure about how much they like you or not... lol But I would think they would like the great outdoors in the wild best. Where I live we get so many frogs, little bitty tree frog type. Once the warmer weather kicks in it never fails at least 1 will somehow wind up in my upstairs apartment - Dun Dun Dun and I have 2 cats! So I become the frog rescue-er from two wide-eyed crazed frog hunting cats.
