The 'minor' cast of BBC's Sherlock, though I feel the word 'minor' can never be attributed to them. Each character on that show is appealing and interesting in their own right. I really hate it when a show ignores their minor cast and makes them all cookie cutter. It doesn't ACTUALLY accentuate or make more interesting the main characters, it actually sorta dumbs them down. Especially loved the addition of Molly Hooper. She doesn't fall into any of the usual female stereotypes, she's meek but she has this sort of inner strength you don't get to see often...
Okay I'll stop rambling. On the last note, I'll say that when I first saw Andrew Scott as Moriarty I thought 'he CAN'T be the villain, he looks like Bambi.' But then I found out that Bambi eyes are quite frightening in the face of a devil and now I'll have nightmares kthnx.

Your people faces are gorgeous. Like they're just awesome and stuff. Yeah great description but they are.
And I agree, I hate side characters for the sake of side characters, especially when you can pretty much just stick one word to them to describe the character. Though at the same time I might possibly dislike more a series that tries to build up so many side characters that the plot gets lost in all their side stories. Its like weird plot filler, less pointless than some, but still filler =_=.

Totally agree. When it gets hard to discern who the main cast is because of just how many characters could be considered 'main characters,' things get a bit dicey for me. I've seen it pulled off pretty well and I've seen it pulled off terribly. Young adult fiction is getting pretty bad about the 2d minor cast these days. It's like 'yeah this character has friends! People with no personality who you don't care about but that makes my main character more real, right? That they have friends they never see or talk to but mention in passing?' D8<
Oh yes, filler cast makes everything better. Your token female/alternate race character, the cool guy, the nerd. Or worse, the fetishes ie. the glasses- its not even a personality trait!
I love to know why characters do things, especially characters with influnce (pro or antagonist) but I don't need the 10 minute sob story of the bad guy who is defeated in 30 seconds never to be mentioned again o_o; Might make me sound mean, but really. Sometimes I do like side characters more than the main character but even so I still want to hear the story of that main character predominately for the sake of the overal plot. You can get a lot out of a character thru their interaction with the main character and plot without needing to completely side track.
But yeah, its especially wonderful when friends are just implied for the sake of not making the character seem like a loner or something. Friends in name only, or when they suddenly appear. Oh hey, its my best friend from childhood who i've never mentioned!
Lol I'll be quiet now

I'm no good with anatomical subtelties, I usually judge by the eyes, and whoever did Moriarty did one of the best villains I've seen in a very long time, excellent job of portraying GENUINE crazy, mostly the callous, completely detached-from-reality eyes. Hard to capture that with massive dilated black holes, nice evil arched eyebrows though *mad scientist laugh*
Oh God Moriarty- I just- died. The things that man can do with he way he pronounces his words make my skin craw. and his complete facial control rivals cumberbatch in the exact opposite spectrum (cumber= stoic to the point of minor breaks making HUGE impacts, Scott = loose and flappy to the point of revulsion)
awesome job again! PLEASE be selfish and do more sherlockian stuff! There is just NOT ENOUGH good Sherlock art in the world <3

I WILL >8D I love Sherlock so much and the only thing keeping me from a pit of despair at the lack of new episodes is fanart and fanfiction and I'm not ashamed 8|
Moriarty's 'I will make you into shoes' line is what did it for me. 'He's wonderful. He threatens people with cadaverous footwear.'

I am in the same boat to be honest TT.TT I'm midway though a Sherlockwarts fanfic that is actually nicer than i had dared hope. (light shipping- but done so that you don't feel like adult stoic Sherlock is trying to have secret sexy emotions about John- UGH)
Whats your fic type? if I may ask ^^. I have to admit I'm really interested in Sherlockwarts ATM (Sherlock/harry potter- without the HP gang, so basically just using the universe)

Ummm fic type... Well I don't go for AU or crossover really, but I'm a sucker for something that delivers the right combination of comedy angst and romance XP If the writers can keep them in character though, all those things sort of come part and parcel with Sherlock and John. Their relationship is inherently angsty, hilarious and romantic.
I love that Molly is still so generous and forgiving despite how horrible Sherlock can be, and that Sherlock DOES respect her enough to apologize in ASiB and ask for her help later. She's so strong without being all 'i'll kick your ass' which is the tradition of 'strong female characters.'
I want to draw scenes from a hilarious Johnlock fic I read. Twice.

THIS^^^^^
The episode where she kept the phone save made me smile so hard my face cramped, no joke.

Yes, she's just so so dependable ALL the time and when people say they don't like her because they feel like she's a doormat and let's Sherlock walk all over her I want to kick them because Sherlock does that with EVERYONE and she does stand up for herself when it matters but not in a nasty way, always gentle and sweet even when she's calling Sherlock out on his shit. I just wanna pick her up and hug her.
