From a person that has gotten many a tattoo on the same arm, I can tell you that it doesn't hurt as bad as people think it does. With my tattoo personally, the only part that was truly sensitive on the arm was on the muscle near the inner arm. Other than that...it is not that painful ^_^

As nice as it is, I still don't think I'd indelibly apply it to my body. Hang in in my house as a fine piece of art? You bet. Anytime. The best part about that is that it can be passed on to someone who'd *hopefully* appreciate it rather than have the "canvas" locked away in a burial vault somewhere.

The advantage of a tattoo is it travels around with you and can be seen by many more people than art hung in your house. Besides, there is nothing to stop you from having it both places. ;3

A few of my favorite comments.
After staring at it during a 10 minute bus ride and old man finally asked me what it meant. I couldn't really answer that. Just I liked it.
A hip kid asked me what was up with the dog head. I told him I like bitches.
My HR lady at work (I wore shorts at work) saw it and said it was porn, but didn't pursue it.

I like your vixens. I've seen a few similar too. I don't think the general public notices they are anthro. I don't think they get past the general feminine outline.

Thank you *bows humbly* I have only seen two others. Three if you count a silver pendant I bought. Made a perfect hat pin ^^ Anyway, I was looking for chromed steel for my truck but I never found anything so I commissioned my own design and had them made (thinking about color, and a version with human feet). The two I found didn't look quite right anyway. One was too stiff and unnatural looking. The other was given to me by someone on Furtopia. Didn't look quite right either, and they didn't know who the artist was so I couldn't use it anyway.

Do you happen to have links to the other vixen decal designs you've seen? I would like to see what other versions look like.

No, I'm sorry , I sure don't have links. I saw them on the freeway here in Calif. is all I can tell you. But they were very similar to the ones you have.

I'm glad you like my tats. About you saying you can't imagine yourself at 70 with wrinkly faded etc tats, which I saw you say . I gotta say...if you love your tats, you won't worry about it. They hardly fade at all these days thanks to the new better inks and as to the wrinkling....well...just put them in the right spots. ;3 I have plans for one more. I'm going to RMFC in August and  foxene who is the best artist of my bunny char. Liane will be there, so I'm going to have her tattoo Liane on my leg. (Foxene is a tattoo artist also...) One thing I must say...once you begin getting tattoos you will find them addicting most likely. Almost all of us do. Just an FYI thing.... :)

I did say too much, and in the wrong way in that comment. I apologise. I like seeing tattoos. They just aren't for me. Something I really like now, I might not in 20 years. I have always liked Renamon. That was years before I found the fandom. I think I'll always like Renamon, but who knows how my tastes will change in the future. That is a more accurate explanation of why I don't want one for myself.

I've heard that if you have a Deviant Art account, that in their contract if you accept it, it states that anything you post on their site they have the right to use how ever they want. Even selling your art without your permission and making a profit off of it.

Okay i was wrong, I looked at the T-shirt again its not the same picture.. VERY similar but its just not.. the wolf on the t-shirt is looking a little more to his left and the paws/hands are different but its close enuff that its obvious someone used yours as a reference.

True, because in 70 years I'll be dead lol :P I know what you mean. I dunno...maybe someday. I'm just skittish about having something permanent on my body. And you really have to trust the tatto artist. Its not like they can just erase a mistake. Just call me a fraidy cat lol.

Well you can always google top rated, veteran artists in your area. That's what I did my first one is scheduled for this Saturday. :3 so excited I can't wait!

That is something I never thought about. Thank you for telling me. I'm an old-school cat, and I would have only found what tattoo shops there were, online. Then I would go to each one to see for myself. Of course looking for their abilities in both animals and humans, to see if they could do anthro well, even with a pre-made design.

Anyhow, I wish you the best. Please let me know when your tattoo is done. I would very much like to see it XD.

Haha ok xD yeah it's just a small letter on my ankle. But as long as they're skilled in say photo realism tattooing or even just standard custom tattooing in general, you should be fine if you're whanting to get an anthro piece done. What exactly would you be wanting to get?

Oh, I still don't want a tattoo lol. But there are many MANY pics I could use as examples of something I might get. In fact, looking for examples for you turned into 3 hours of looking at pics I saved lol. Two things kept running through my mind as I looked. "Would this look good as a tattoo and where would I put it?" I couldn't find an answer. I have no idea how something like a picture with a background would look in tattoo form, or where to put it.

There are WAY too many clean art examples of something I might get, if I got one. But, the nude list is very short so I'll link a couple here. They are tasteful female nudes BTW.

This one is actually the first furry pic I ever saw, and its still one of my favorites. I love the pose and her expression. It could also be a clean tattoo, easily enough (replace shorts with a bikini bottom). And replace the fence with my truck.

There are more, but I'm tired of looking through thousands of pics to find them, just so I can remember the artist's name, so I can find the pics again here and link them for you lol. That was a long sentence. Now I'm out of breath *pants* lol.

Well another thing you can do is either commission an artist and give the exact pose and color you want. OR simply walk into the tattoo shop and say what you want and have them draw you a piece custom made. Remember they're artists and know how to tap into exactly what you want. And a good place to keep a large pinup tattoo is definitely either the side of the leg, or your upper arm. But also remember a lot of people don't take kindly to furrys so just pick wisely where you want to place it. It'll be such a good experience for you if you do it. :) just start small first. It'll be easier to ease in to.

Good advice. I know all that though. And I would commission an artist specifically for a tattoo. The inner leg is exactly where I would put a nude lol. I really don't give a shit about people's preconceived thoughts about furries. Most people don't even know the word, let alone have a preconsieved idea about us. I have talked to many mundanes (including my family) and they have all left happy, knowing that they learned something. Use the Uncle Kage method. Of course its different for each situation, but the rule holds true.

I am a skiish cat, but not when it comes to questions. I speak naturally about it, as anything else. I never say the words "furry or anthropomorphic" unless they do. And I NEVER describe us by what we are not. Never say anything bad...ever.
