Another coolicious piece! This time made by one of my fans 
bobbuffalo which he invited me to participate in his swim class... I didn't do very well in it to say the least...

They don't do so because their bodies are not buoyant enough. They don't have enough fat to make them float. They have the ability to do so, but they would panic causing them to sink and drown.
Thank goodness for the power of fiction! Alpha can swim, but doesn't do it as much because he short-circuits.
